What is Projekt Lyfe?

Projekt Lyfe is a collective of artists expressing themselves through a variety of creative art forms. Although the creative mediums vary, the collective intention is the same: to open minds, educate people, and expand awareness. Projekt Lyfe has been formed as a community outreach program under the Wind Walker Learning Center.

The performance troupe organized the Redirection Festival in 2009 at Wind Walker, and will be traveling to other festivals in 2010 to both perform and hold workshops.

Community Outreach

Our learning center gathers creative minds together to form a supportive and diverse artistic community. That is our purpose, and this is our call to builders, healers, gardeners, philosophers, authors, musicians, performing artists and all forms of creative artisits, to both teach and learn from one another.

We like to collaborate on sculptures, building art cars for the parades, integrating art into sustainable homes, and building musical instruments and clothing. We represent artists on the Arts & Culture Commission, encourage creative expression through our web community blogs and articles, and sell artwork through our online store produced by our village's artists.

The Learning Center has a large ourdoor stage where groups can perform music, poetry, and plays. Many of our outdoor festivals in the summer use this stage for performances. Check our calendar of upcoming events for more information, or plan your own event.

Our Projek Lyfe performance troupe has shows around the country providing education and entertainment through performances and workshops thematically centered around ecologically friendly balanced living principles. Projet Lyfe travels to different festivals, gatherings, studios, foundations and schools around the world.

We are also in the process of creating a community children’s mentor program for students of all ages.
