Wind Walker Ecovillage

Village Membership

PDF Print E-mail

We're seeking emotionally mature, cooperative people of all kinds to join us in creating our ecovillage dream. We're interested in people who have experience as entrepreneurs, teachers, healers, artists, organic growers, people with mechanical and engineering skills, special interest groups aliened with our vision, individuals, couples and families with children.

Ecovillage Membership

As a Ecovillage Member you can live and participate in our eco-friendly Tiny Village. By leasing a lot inside our Tiny Village you can build either a temporary structure on or you can build a permanent structure that's less than 120 square feet. Larger permanent structures need to go through a building permit process through the local county. You are not obligated to live on the land here if you wish to travel, or live elsewhere for part of the year.

As an ecovillage member, you have joint decision making rights as a member of the Wind Walker Ecovillage council and committees.

The price of membership is a one time initial payment of $2000, and $100 per month to lease your ecovillage lot. This is an opportunity to create your life off of the "grid" in a beautiful and natural surrounding. Learn how to become a member.

Village Membership

Village Membership is available for those who want to participate in the Wind Walker Ecovillage, but are not interested in leasing a lot on our property. With this membership option you can participate in eco-building projects, permaculture cultivation, community gardening, and other village activities. Village Members must sign the Wind Walker Village Membership Agreement and a liability waiver form.

The price of membership is $200 a year. Your membership allows you to camp at Wind Walker free of charge for a week each year.

Membership Benefits

Both membership levels include the following benefits:

  • discounts on lodging stays at our Guest Ranch
  • discounts on our Ecovillage and our Guest Ranch services
  • discounts on select festivals, retreats and workshops at our Learning Center

With steering committee approval you can:

  • live at Wind Walker temporarily as a non-member resident.
  • sell your creative arts and crafts in our online store or at our ranch store.
  • post your own creative projects to our projects board.
  • advertise events here at Wind Walker or at other locations throughout the planet
  • offer your own workshops as part of the Wind Walker Learning Center

There are also many volunteer opportunities for our members as well as preferred purchasing agreements and promotions at our events and on the websites with links and advertising.
