The indigenous peoples of America connect themselves to the spirit of the land and their ancestors through their art, music, culture and spiritual practices. Their understanding of the interconnectedness of all things, created a path way to living in balance and in harmony with mother earth. The land at Wind Walker has been used for thousands of years for ceremonies, celebrations and gatherings done in this way. We connect to the spirit of these traditions by providing the following Native Way activities at Wind Walker:
A letter from Loretta
I humbly write this to share my understandings and to honor the ancestors that have come down through time with teachings of oneness. My grandmothers on both sides of my lineage were full-blooded Native women. They walk beside me as many ancestors do. Through my being runs the essence of all nations, for we are all connected, you and I. I am told: “Walk in a good way dear one… everything that is, everything that has been… all are our relations… all are equal. All are part of the great plan. Be at peace, have compassion, love unconditionally and know joy. Live with passion, purpose, harmony and balance. Welcome the full flowering of the spirit and the seasons of life. Teach the children.” As you experience your walk on the earth plane you will come to your own knowing. I honor you on your journey. Many Blessings I send to you as your sister and friend, |
