We invite you to join us as we co-create our ecovillage and learning center. Participation is what villages and learning centers run on. It's sharing our time to better our community. This is true for the Wind Walker Ecovillage, it provides a means of expressing that we as a community want to live in balance with mother nature as a self-sustainable community. Participation is about taking ownership of what we choose to create in our lives. By changing what we create in our lives, we are actively changing the world. A Vision for the FutureThe Earth is in need of visions and solutions, which give hope and show a possible path forward for humanity. How do we solve the global, ecological and social problems all at the same time? What will the solutions look like? How do we dream of living with each other and the natural world? Is it possible to create a lifestyle, which is basically peaceful, just and sustainable for all? Are ecovillages and sustainable neighborhoods the way forward? Many people have asked themselves these questions all over the planet during the last 20-40 years. Many have been trying to do something about it. They have been building intentional communities and ecovillages. What they share is a deep respect for nature, with humans as an integral part of natural cycles. The common thread is to be the conscious design of lifestyles that are elegantly frugal, holistically balanced, and responsible for the many generations still to come. They explore a new immersion form of learning. Ecovillages address social environmental and economic dimensions of sustainability in an integrated way, with human communities as part of, not apart from balanced ecologies.
